Last Rites For R. F. Crain Held Mon. At Sharon Church

Funeral services will be held in Sharon Baptist Church at Sikes Monday at
11:00 a.m. for Robert T. Crain, age 83.

Mr. Crain was a retired farmer having been born in Winn Parish where he spent
most of his life.  He was married to the former Frances Tolbert, now deceased.

Services were conducted by Rev. Hogan, pastor of Sharon Church, Rev. Owens of
Lake Charles, and Mr. W. S. Emmons of Sikes.

Surviving Mr. Crain are five daughters, Mrs. Nancy Brown and Mrs. Nola Simons
of Sikes, Mrs. Leona Maddox of Lake Charles, Mrs. Lee Belle Elliott of Monroe,
and Mrs. Alma McCarty of Jena; two sons, Jesse of Monroe and Lawson of Fresno,
Calif.; 38 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, two great great
grandchildren; one brother, Rev. Cass Crain of Grayson; and one sister, Mrs.
Martha Jane Barlow, of Houston, Texas.

Pallbearers were Chris Christiansen, Kenneth Lamar McCartney, Walter Kidd,
Clay Tillman, Johnny Shows, and Rocky Landry.
