Lawson Crain, Sikes Native, Dies In California

Word has been received by relatives in Sikes of the death of Lawson Crain, age
62, who passed away at his home in Fresno, California, last Monday.

He was a former resident of Sikes and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Crain, who were lifelong residents of the Sikes community.

Survivors in this area include five sisters, Mrs. Nancy Brown, Mrs. Nola
McCarty, of Sikes; Mrs. Lee Bell Elliott of Olla; Mrs. Alma McCartney of Jena;
and Mrs. Leona Maddox of Lake Charles; and one brother, Jessie Crain of
Clarks.

Last rites were conducted in California.
