Crain Called By Death at Home In Sikes Thursday Last Rites Will Be Conducted at Harmony Grove Friday A. L. Crain, a well known citizen and farmer of the Sikes community, died Thursday afternoon at 5:30 at his home near Sikes. Mr. Crain had been in ill health for several years and had been critically ill since Friday at which time he suffered a third stroke of paralysis. Mr. Crain is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. J. D. Ingloff, of Monroe, Mrs. Rush Tyler of Cotton Valley, and Mrs. Sylvester Gaar of Gaars Mill; seven sons, Basham Crain, Shreveport; Lamar Crain, Shreveport; J. M. Crain, Shreveport; Broton Crain, Marshall, Texas; A. A. Crain, Arp, Texas; Charlie Crain, Sikes; Ralph Crain, Cotton Valley; one brother, T. V. Crain of Sikes, and one sister, Mrs. Adams of Gaars Mill. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. T. J. Ratcliff of Olla, Louisiana, at the Harmony Grove Church Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
