Mrs. Robert Crain of Sikes Succumbs

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Francis Robert Crain, age 71, of Sikes,
on Monday, July 16, at the Sharon Church.  The Rev. Cas Crain, Rev. Jerry
Fordham, and Rev. King were in charge of the services.  Burial was under the
direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Acting as pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased.

Mrs. Crain was married to Mr. Robert Crain in 1891.  To them were born ten
children, seven of whom survive.  They are Mrs. T. H. Brown, Mrs. Nola
McCarty, and Jess Crain of Sikes; Mrs. Leona Maddox, Lake Charles; Mrs. Lea
Bell Elliott, Minden; Mrs. Alma McCartney, Tullos; and Lawson Crain, Rayville.

She also leaves one brother, Louis Tolbert, and one sister, Mrs. G. Lofton
of Urania; a number of half brothers and sisters, 34 grandchildren and 13
great grandchildren.
