E. Crawford Services for H. E. Crawford, 80, of Winnfield, were held at 3:30 Thursday in Southern Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Grayson Watson, W. R. Gage, Charles Haley, and Dr. Calvin Phelps officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield. Mr. Crawford died Wednesday, May 2, 1979 in Jackson Parish Hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Aimwell, a member of First United Methodist Church, a county agent for Winn Parish, a former member of the Rotary Club, a member of the Louisiana Cattlemen's Association, former agriculture teacher at Gueydan, Logansport, and Montgomery High Schools. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Corinne Crawford of Winnfield; a son, Ed of Winnfield; a daughter, Mrs. Beth Swanson of Morgan City; a sister, Miss Hazel Crawford of Harrisonburg; a brother, O. C. Crawford of Harrisonburg, and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Shove Holmes, Benny Long, Murphy Worsham, Prentiss Ferguson, Harper Terrill, and Raborn Smith. Among those out of town attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Orville C. Crawford and Miss Hazel Crawford of Harrisonburg; C. D. Mixon and his 7 year old grandson, Danny Summerlin of Goldsboro, N. C.; Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Keclker and Pat Patrick of Lake Charles; Ory Bordelon, Mrs. Richard Rand, and Mike Swanson of Alexandria; Mrs. Herbert Russell of Tullos; Mrs. Hubert Thompson of Jena; Raborn Smith of Atlanta; Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Gaharan of Delhi; Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Patrick of Oil City; Miss Nancy Patrick of Oil City; Mr. and Mrs. K. C. Simmons and Mrs. Bertha Stovall of Dodson; and Shove Holmes of Lufkin, Texas.
