Ross Crain, 69, of 3131 Midway Street, Shreveport, a retired grocer, were held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Forest Park Cemetery. The Rev. Jack Merritt, pastor of Ingleside Baptist Church, officiated at the service. Mr. Crain died at 6 p.m. Saturday in Willis-Knighten Hospital after a long illness. A native of Sikes, he had lived in Shreveport for 20 years and operated a grocery store on Midway Street until his retirement a year ago. He was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; one son, Cecric H. Crain of Chicago, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. McArtis Price and Mrs. Bobby L. Eason, both of Shreveport; six sisters, Mrs. C. F. Puckett of Pineville, Mrs. Roy Gaar of Dodson, Mrs. E. C. Monroe of West Monroe, Mrs. Ralph Balbot of Monroe, Mrs. Hershel Kidd of Minden; and Mrs. W. O. Byrd of Denver, Colo.
