D. Cardozier Funeral services for N. D. Cardozier, 69, who died Sunday at a local hospital, were held at Mt. Zion Church, Route 1, Montgomery, Tuesday, April 19, 1949, at 2:30 p.m. Rev. J. A. Jones and the Rev. Mr. Vance of Pineville had charge of the services. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. A native of Mt. Zion community, Mr. Cardozier had married and reared his family in that community. He was an active member of the Baptist Church. One of Winn's most progressive farmers, he had retired with the exception of working small garden plots. He suffered a heart attack on Wednesday prior to his death. Surviving are his wife, who was before her marriage Miss Pearl Hammontree; two sons, Jessie Lee Cardozier, Rt. 1, Montgomery; Austin of Montgomery; one daughter, Mrs. Irvin Shaw, Rt. 1, Montgomery; one brother, James Cardozier, Rt. 1, Montgomery; three sisters, Mrs. Angie Carter, Montgomery; Mrs. Ola Cook, Riverton; and Mrs. Sally Luther, Shreveport. He also leaves 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
