Creel, 68, were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Sikes Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie James and the Rev. E. T. Spence officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mr. Creel died Monday, October 30, 1967 in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Winn Parish. Survivors are his widow; two sons, Cecil Creel of Winnfield and Douglas Ray Creel of Germany; four daughters, Mrs. Thelma Livingston, Mrs. Victorine Smith, and Mrs. Katherine Bixler, all of Winnsboro, and Mrs. Joyce Black of Hawaii; one brother, J. C. Creel of Dodson; six sisters, Mrs. Ola Thornton of Columbia, Mrs. Pearls Boles of Shreveport, Mrs. Mary Evans of Bernice, Mrs. Lottie Barnes of New Orleans, Mrs. Mattice McCarty and Mrs. Lessie Townsend, both of Winnfield; 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
