Crowson Citizen of Tenth Ward Died at Winnfield Friday Friday morning, Dec., 18, 1903, at 8:15 o'clock, R. C. Crowson, a citizen of the Tenth Ward of Winn Parish, died after an illness lasting about one week. He attended the barbecue here on Dec. 10, and took sick that day with measles. He stopped at the residence of R. C. Jones, where he was cared for and was attended by Dr. J. J. Peters. After the measles had about run its course, pneumonia developed from which he died. He was a splendid citizen and a successful farmer. He leaves a wife and family of children. He was about 40 years of age at the time of his death. His death is a great loss not only to his family, but to the parish and the community in which he lived.
