Joel Upton officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Cromwell, a logger, died Friday morning in a Monroe hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Mississippi. Survivors are his wife; one son, Joseph Cromwell of West Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Harrell of Shreveport and Mrs. Ruby Osburn of Oceanside, Calif.; five brothers, J. E. Cromwell of Ellisville, Miss., Joe and Ellis Cromwell, both of Hattiesburg, Miss., Hardie Cromwell of Beaumont, Texas, and Bill Cromwell of Moselle, Miss.; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Maris and Mrs. Francis McDonald, both of Hattiesburg, Miss., and Miss Corene Cromwell of Houston, Texas, and six grandchildren.
