Funeral For Mrs. W. A. Carpenter Held Thursday

Funeral services for Mrs. W. A. Carpenter, 86, who died at her home in Calvin
Wednesday night, June 18, were held at the Bethlehem Church this afternoon,
Thursday, at 4 o'clock, with the Rev. F. M. Shows officiating.  Burial was in
the Bethlehem Cemetery.

Mrs. Carpenter had been a resident of Calvin for many years and has been
confined to her bed for five years.

She is survived by three sons, Joseph, Hershel, and Edward of Calvin, three
daughters, Mrs. Willie Collins, Mrs. Sid O'Bryan, and Mrs. Cleve Megison, of
Calvin, and a number of grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of
Jonesboro.
