J. L. Carter Buried At Sardis Saturday

Funeral services for J. L. Carter, Sr., about 45 years of age, who died at his
home near Sardis Friday, January 11, 1935, were held at the Sardis Church
Saturday with the Rev. W. D. Sherwood in charge.  Interment was in the Sardis
Cemetery.

The deceased had been ill about seven months.  He is survived by his widow and
one son, J. L. Carter, Jr., two sisters, two brothers, and one half brother.
