Former Resident Of Winnfield Dies In Texas

Friends in Winnfield have received the news of the death of Mrs. Sam Crawford,
on January 1 at Conroe, Texas.

Mrs. Crawford is the wife of Sam A. Crawford, prominent lawyer of Conroe,
Texas, who will be remembered as a former resident of Winnfield, moving
here in 1896.

Mr. Crawford was principal of the Winnfield school when it was taught in the
old Methodist Church.  He studied law while in Winnfield and upon completing
his studies, moved to Conroe.
