Curry Dies In Monroe; Funeral Today Operated Shop In Winnfield For Many Years Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church for James Edward Curry, 92, of Monroe, formerly of Winnfield, who died in a Monroe hospital Thursday following a long illness. Officiating at the funeral will be the Rev. Fred S. Flurry and the Rev. Alwin Stokes. Burial will be in the Beech Creek Cemetery. Mr. Curry was born in Caldwell Parish July 10, 1857, and moved to the Beech Creek Community, where he was a farmer, merchant, and postmaster for many years. He moved to Winnfield in 1914 an doperated a shoe repair shop until his health failed 3 years ago. He was making his home with his daughter, Mrs. A. L. Peter, in Monroe at the time of his death. Mr. Curry is survived by three sons, Warren W., of Tannehill; A. E. of Pontiac, Mich., and Clarence of Vicksburg, Miss.; two daughters, Mrs. A. L.
