All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: June 22, 1944 Winn Parish Enterprise Last Rites Held For Mrs. Lucy Hand Curry Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Hand Curry, 62, who succumbed at her home in Winnfield Tuesday, June 20, after a long illness, were held in the residence Wednesday at 4 p.m. with the Rev. H. H. McBride, Baptist minister, Rev. Alwin Stokes, Presbyterian minister, and Mr. Lavell Kennedy in charge. Burial was in Beech Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Curry was born and reared in the Corinth Community. She was a resident of Winnfield for the past 14 years, a member of the First Baptist Church and of the local Eastern Star Chapter. Her husband, the late Wilson W. Curry, preceded her in death by a number of years. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. W. T. O'Donnell, Fordyce, Ark.; Mrs. Sam Stilly, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Owen Guiles and Mrs. Oswald Martin of Winnfield; four sisters, Mrs. Mack Brown, Clarks, Mrs. Jasper Blackshear, Rochelle, Mrs. P. M. Mercer, Winnfield, and Mrs. Betty Hemphill, Zion; and three brothers, L. M. Hand, Monroe, F. C. Hand, New Orleans, and Howard Hand, Winnfield Route Two.
