Clayton Died March 4 At Home In Jonesboro Funeral services were held Friday, March 5, at the Nazarene Church in Jonesboro for Mrs. A. H. Clayton, 70, mother of Mrs. W. J. Austin of Winnfield, and a sister of R. A. Norred, Dodson. Mrs. Clayton, a lifelong resident of Jackson Parish, died at her home in Jonesboro Thursday following an extended illness. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Douglas Lemmons, Rev. Elbert Dodd, and Rev. C. V. Spell. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Surviving are her husband; four daughters, Mrs. W. J. Austin, Winnfield; Mrs. J. W. Smith, Oak Grove; Mrs. J. M. Dufresne, Monroe; Mrs. Stanley Bryant, Winnsboro; two sons, H. H. Clayton, Jr., Killeen, Texas and Laymon B. Clayton, Lake Charles; three brothers, W. L. Norred, Hodge; J. W. Norred, Converse; and R. A. Norred, Dodson; and two sisters, Mrs. N. F. Henington, Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. E. L. Brunch, Jonesboro.
