L. C. "Buck" Creel, 52, of Mesquite, Tex., a former Shreveport resident died Monday night, January 15, 1973 in Baylor Hospital at Dallas after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Old Union Baptist Church of Joyce. Burial will be in Old Union Church Cemetery. Mr. Creel was a native of Winnfield and lived in Shreveport until 1962, when he moved to Mesquite. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. L. C. Creel; his mother, Mrs. Etta Creel of Shreveport; two sons, Mike Creel of Houston, Tex., and Bobby Creel of Dallas, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Pat Golden and Pam Creel, both of Mesquite; a brother, Charles Creel of Pineville, and three sisters, Mrs. R. F. Harris of Shreveport, Mona Creel of Houston, and Mrs. Opal Carrick of San Antonio, Tex.
