Officiating was Dr. Calvin Phelps and Rev. Joel Johnson. Burial followed in the Liberty Chapel Cemetery at Williana, LA under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mr. Fallis, 51 of Winnfield, died Wednesday, March 29, 2000 in the Winn Parish Medical Center. He was a native of Leesville, LA, graduate of Sam Houston University, member of Peace Corps, serving in India and Thailand, Director of JTPA, member of the Winnfield Kiwanis Club and was a Baptist. He was a member of the Eastern Star and 32nd Degree Mason, Monroe Consistery. Survivors are his wife, Mary D. Fallis of Winnfield, two daughters, Amy McKinny of Winnfield and Elizabeth Heronemus of Weatherford, TX; his mother, Bernice Lukasik of Leesville, LA; two brothers, Larry Fallis of Lufkin, TX and Jimmy Lukasik of Leesville, LA; one sister, Terry Reed of Leesville, LA; and four grandchildren: Steven, Josh, Charlie and Jacob. Burial followed in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Arcadia, LA under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield. Mrs. Miles, 79 of Winnfield, LA died Tuesday, March 28, 2000 in the Winn Parish Medical Center. She was a Bienville Parish native and a homemaker. Survivors are one son: Larry Miles of Winnfield, LA; two daughters, Patsy Montgomery of San Antonio, TX and Glenda Williamson of Tullos, LA; one brother, Clyde Edwards of Clarks, LA; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Mr. Hines, 78 of Goldonna, LA died Tuesday, March 28, 2000 in his residence. He was a Goldonna native and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Goldonna Baptist Church. Mr. Cox, age 53, of Winnfield, LA died Friday, March 31, 2000 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. He was a native and resident of Winnfield. Mr. Cox was a truck driver and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was retired from the U. S. Forest Service. He is survived by his wife, Debra Orsborn Cox of Winnfield, LA; two daughters, Teri Lantz of Charlotte, NC and Tina Anderson of Calvin, LA; one son, Toby Cox of Fallon, NV; two step-sons, Michael Broadway of Ruston, LA and David Broadway of Calvin, LA; one brother, Morris Cox of Annville, PA and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Maxine Williams Cox, and one brother, Eugene Cox. She was a 50 year member of Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, A. C. Miss Wood, 95 of Winnfield, died Monday, April 17, 2000 in the Winn Parish Medical Center. She was a Colfax, LA native and a member of the Winnfield First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and was a retired clerk from Shaw's Dept. Store. She was the devoted care giver for her sister Ruth for 37 years. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Virginia Wood and Ira Mae Wood and four brothers, Herman, Louis, Harold and Vernon Wood. She is survived by one nephew, Dr. Joseph Wood of Irving, TX; five nieces, Ginger Davis of Uvalde, TX, Pat Wilson of Norfolk, VA, Tena Ward of College Station, TX, Judy Henderson of Corpus Christi, TX and Jane Stewart of Germantown, TN.
