Burial followed in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield. Mrs. Evans was a retired bookeeper for the Winn Parish School Board, A member and Sunday school teacher at the First Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Wilbur "Hot" Evans. Survivors are: One Son, Jimmy Bonnette of Winnfield; One Sister Irene Anderson of Jackson, MS; Two nieces, Nita Veillon and family of Vidrine LA and Donna Gilbert and family of Winnfield. Friends vsited with the family from 10AM until time of services on Wednesday in the funeral home.************************ Harold Anthony Prongay Harold Anthony Prongay, 76, passed away on July 31, 2005. He was the father of Debbie Prongay-French of Winnfield and grandfather of Clifton Temple French of Winnfield. Mr. Prongay leaves behind ten children and was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary, who lived in England. He also leaves behind 21 grand children. Mr. Prongay was retired from the U.S. Army. He served in Korea and Vietnam. He passed away in New Jersey. Mr. Carson was a member of the Calvin Baptist Church and was retired U.S. Army Master Sgt. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Carson was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Iva Lee Carson. Survivors include: Two Sons: Jim Bob Carson and his wife Wanda and Buster Carson and his wife Lori all of Calvin, LA. One Daughter: Kitty Carson also of Calvin. One Brother: Perry Carson of Macon Ga. and one Sister: Pearl Leggett of Doyline, La. Six Grandchildren: Seth Carson, Ethan Carson, Alan Reed Carson, Jordyn Carpenter, Brooke Latham and Kaci Latham. Sister and brother in law Claudine and Harold Aston of Calvin. She was a student at Dodson High School and had planned a career in psychology. Services were held at 2 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church in Winnfield, August 13 with Dr. Connie Collins and Rev. Mike Walker officiating. Internment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Winnfield. "She was a very special and loving young lady," said family members. "She will be greatly missed and loved by all. She was our darling angel." Miss Spears was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Gay Nell Fisher and her maternal grandfather, Calvin Hilliard. Miss Spears is survived by her parents Tommy and Kim Spears of Winnfield and Maria Barron Hanson, of Winnfield. She is survived by three sisters, Sarah Spears of Texas, Stephanie Cecil of Texas, and Jamie Mills of Florida. Also she leaves behind two brothers, Tommy Spears, Jr., of Winnfield and Cody Edmonds of Dodson. Her maternal grandmother Ruby Phillips of Pasadena, TX., maternal grandfathers James Barron of Saline, H. T. Harry LaGrone officiating. Cremation arrangements were by East Texas Funeral Home. Mr. Hambleton passed away 8-6-05. Born December 1, 1933, in Winnfield, LA, he graduated from Winnfield in 1951. For most of his life, he was a clothing apparel sales representative. At the time of his death he was an active member of Victory Road Baptist Church. His passions were his wife, Carola, classical music, cooking, and gardening. Survivors include his wife, his sister, Helen June Buffington (of Plano, TX) & his brother, Chanan Gerald Hambleton (of Alexandria, LA); many nieces and nephews; as well as a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Jo Frances Pategna and his parents, Frank Earl & Etta Orinda Hambleton. ************************* Dr. Daniel M. Allen Dr. Daniel M. Allen, age 62, pastor of the South Jacksonville Baptist Church, was born in Winnfield, Louisiana. He played basketball for Winnfield High School and graduated in 1961. He went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on August 9, 2005. He received Jesus at the age of 16 and fully dedicated the rest of his life to do Lord's service. He pastored churches in Oregon, Texas, Oklahoma, Maryland, and Florida. He was a loving, dedicated husband, father, and friend to many. Although diagnosed six months previously with an incurable cancer, he continued faithfully in the Lord Jesus' service until the day he passed into glory. The desire of his heart was that all he came into contact with would accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Hazel Allen; his two sons, D. Mark Allen and D. Matthew Allen, his daughter Michele Allen Bomer, his son-in-law Cliff Bomer, his two daughters-in-law Lisa Allen and Tammi Allen; his grandchildren: Anna Allen, Michael Allen, Caitlin Bomer, Caleb Bomer, and Reed Allen, his mother Bernice Culpepper, his two brothers John I. Roberts and Dwayne Allen, his sister Charlien Hebert; his two brothers-in-law William Roark and Terry Bonawitz, his two sisters-in-law Zelda Roberts and Neva Bonawitz, and numerous aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Tommy Hamms officiating. He was buried in the Winnfield Cemetery. Bro. Brown departed this life on Saturday, August 13 at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield. Bro. Brown was born December 11, 1956 to the union of the late O.C. Brown, Sr. and Eudora Brown. Two sisters. Eugeanie Gail Brown Settles and Gloria Brown Booker preceded him in death. Bro. Brown united with the New Zion Baptist Church at an early age and remained a faithful member until his death. He was married to Yvette Hollingsworth and to this union they were blessed with three children: Lakeshia Brown, Ray Brown, Jr., and Tamecia LaFollette. In later years, he was united in holy matrimony to Gwendolyn Brown and to this union one daughter was born, Nia Brown. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Mrs. Gwendolyn Brown of Winnfield; five daughters: Tameica LaFollette, Tyler, TX., Lakesia Brown (Quintin), Nia Brown, Camryn Evans, all of Winnfield and Kristal Turner of Oakdale, LA. Mrs. Badgley was also preceded in death by her husband, Hennan Badgley; four brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her two Daughters, Beverly Gorham and husband Donald of Winnfield, La., Carolyn Beaty and husband John of Russellville, Ark.; two Sons, John Badgley of Winnfield, La., Freddie Badgley and wife Terri of Vinton, La.; one Sister, Shelbie Jean Tucker of North Little Rock, Ark.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
