Brian McAllister officiating. Burial was in the Sanders Chapel Cemetery at Calvin, LA under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mr. Bonnette, age 75 of Winnfield, LA died Friday, November 30, 2001 in the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield. He was born in Calvin, LA, lived in Winnfield, LA, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Natchitoches, was a member of the Masonic Lodge, member of the Woodmen of the World and a member of the Moose Lodge. He was a retired meat cutter. Burial was in Sardis Cemetery near Winnfield, LA under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mr. Poisso, age 75 of Atlanta, LA died Tuesday, November 27, 2001 in the Winn Parish Medical Center. He was born in Dodson, LA, was a member of Sardis Baptist Church, a retired Mortor-man for an oil company. He was preceded in death by one son, Charlie Poisso, and one grandson, Cole Pittman. Mrs. Capps, age 84 of Tullos, LA died Sunday, December 2, 2001 in the Hardtner Medical Center in Urania, LA. She was born in Tullos, LA, worked as a grocer and was a member of Urania United Methodist Church in Urania, LA. Bernice was a hard worker all of her life. She worked at Capps' Grocery Store in Tullos with her husband S.O. Capps for many years. Bernice enjoyed working in her yard and caring for her pets while she was able. She loved her children and their spouses as well as her three grandsons and was always very proud of their accomplishments. Bernice was a kind, loving and generous woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to offer special thanks to her caregivers who worked so lovingly with her during her last months: Barbara Babcock, Helen Johnson and Janet Edwards. She was preceded in death by her husband, S. 0. Capps. Pallbearers were: Denny Capps, Phillip Cannon, Tony Cannon, Sean Bryan, Cannon Dickerson and Joey Madere.************************ Robert Lee (Bob) Guin, Jr. Bob Guin was born in the home of his parent's Robert Lee Guin, Sr. and Mary Oneida Durham Guin, near the community of Hargis, Louisiana on October 26, 1944. His life on earth ended on November 27, 2001 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 57. Funeral services were held November 30 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville and he was laid to rest with full military honors in the new DFW Veterans National Cemetery. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Guin Sr., and his grandparents, Asa and Carrie Guin and Ozro and Ruth Durham. His sudden, unexpected passing leaves his family inexpressibly grief-stricken. Those mourning his passing include his wife of 32 years, Veleta Nell Moore Guin; his son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Wendi Guin; his 18 month old grandson, Hunter Lee Guin (PaPaw's pride and joy); his loving mother, Mary Oneida Guin; his adoring sisters, Pat Guin, Mavis Guin Vercher and Cathy Guin Martin and their spouses Raymond Vercher and Mike Martin; his nieces and nephews, Sheila, Cindi, Terri, Mindi, Tim, Nathan, Kim, and Jenny; and many other extended family members, co-workers and personal friends. Bob graduated from Verda High School in 1964. He joined the Army soon afterward, proudly serving his country in Viet Nam and in other locations. After his discharge from the Army, he began his career in the construction industry, where his expertise in this field led to rapid job promotions. He was superintendent of construction on many of the beautiful high-rise buildings in downtown Dallas and the surrounding areas. Bob's love of the outdoors, which included hunting, fishing, and strolling in the woods, was exceeded only by his tremendous love and devotion, for his family and friends. His childhood memories were dear to his heart, causing him often to return to the Hargis community - the place of his roots.************************ Grace Conn Johns Funeral services for Grace Conn Johns were held at 10 am. Mrs. Johns, age 98, of Dodson, Louisiana died Saturday, December 1, 2001 in the Winn Parish Medical Center. She was a native of Jackson Parish and a homemaker. Mr. Hinton, a retired oilfield pumper, died Sunday, December 9, 2001 following an extended illness. Bennie Murl Hinton was born on January 12, 1935 at Kelly, LA to the union of his parents, the late Robert Floyd and Frances Priscilla Newsom Hinton. He was also preceded in death by a son, David Hinton. Mr. Hinton was a United States Air Force Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie L.
