Memorial services will be a wake held Friday, December 6th from 6- 10 p.m. at the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Winnfield, LA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. at the Mount Olive Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Winnfield Community Cemetery. Funeral arrangement are under the direction of Ridgley Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Mr. Crumble was born in St. Maurice, LA. He grew up in Clarence, LA but resided in Winnfield, LA for the majority of his life. Mr. Crumble was well-known and respected in the community. He was a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, choir member, Sunday School teacher and in many other departments for several years. He also was a member of the Flying Clouds, a Christian musical group. He was a self-employed businessman whose recent business was a bonding service. He served as police juror in Winn Parish for District 2 for many years and was involved in many community organizations. He was the son of the late Johnnie Crumble, Sr. and the late Alvainey (London) Crumble. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Erskin Crumble, Jessie Phillips, and Eugene Naptles; and two sisters, Vera McGraw and Dorothy Moore. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Moore Crumble; three children, Kelvin Crumble, Vanessa Crumble Smith and LaDella Crumble; one brother, Joe Bailey of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters, Cloteal Brown and Ezora Greene, both of Phoenix, AZ. Mr. Bonnette was a member of the Maricamp Rd. Church of Christ, Masonic Lodge #341, Port Clinton, Ohio. He was a 32nd Degree, Scottish Rite Toledo, Ohio and the Shriners of Ocala and Toledo. Mrs. DeLoach was born October 12, 1933 in Minden, LA and passed away November 29, 2002 at Baptist Rehabilitation Center, Nashville, TN after a short illness. She grew up in Winnfield, LA and graduated from Winnfield High School and Northwestern State University. She and her husband have resided in Shreveport for the past 47 years, where she taught school and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. Mrs. DeLoach was very active at her church and in Daughters of the King. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lucy King and a grandson, Joshua Hoffpauir. Mrs. DeLoach is survived by her husband, Robert DeLoach; two daughters, Lisa Hoffpauir and husband Gregory, and Jennifer Cole and husband Stephen; six grandchildren, Ashley and Sheila Cole and John, David, Katherine and Maria Hoffpauir; and two sisters, Mildred Shell and Shirley White. Rev. Teddy Sharbono officiating. Lelar Norred age 81, died, Saturday, November 30, 2002 in the Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston, La. Survivors are two brothers; R.W. Ballio and J.B. Two nieces and four nephews.************************ Evelyn Tannehill Evelyn Davidson Tannehill, 92, died Monday, December 9, 2002, at her home in Tupelo after a long illness. She was the widow of Murphy A. Tannehill, her husband of fifty-seven years who died February 9, 1993. She moved to Tupelo in 1989, from their home in Urania, Louisiana. She was the daughter of the late Charles Haughton and Leona Offerman Davidson of Vienna, LA. Mrs. Tannehill was a graduate of Louisiana Tech in Ruston with a double major in Chemistry and English. She later attended Tulane University. She taught high school in DeRidder, Urania, and Olla, Louisiana before retiring. She was a nationally accredited flower show judge and state conservation chairman of the Louisiana Federated Garden Clubs. She was active in the Episcopal Church in Louisiana and Tupelo. Graveside services will be at 11 am. Thursday at Vienna Cemetery north of Ruston with the Rev. Edward M. Heard, Jr. officiating. Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte Westbrook and her husband, Jim, of Tupelo; twin sons, Charles L. Tannehill of Estero, Fla. and Dr. Richard H. Tannehill and his wife, Suzette, of Baton Rouge, La.; eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; her caregivers Joyce Webb, Betty Coats, Mitsy Cook, Barbara Green, Sherry Smiechewicz. Visitation began at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Parish Hall at the church. Richard Debusk officiating. Burial was in Sanders Chapel Cemetery, Calvin, La. Mr. Wilson, age 84 of Winnfield, died Friday, December 6, 2002 in the Winn Parish Medical Center. He was born in Jackson Parish to Oscar and Mattie Sanders Wilson. He was a veteran of the US Army Infantry serving in World War II. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and the Purple Heart. He was a member of the V.F.W. and a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was a farmer. Mr. Wood, age 79, of Winnfield, died Thursday, December 5, 2002 in the Winn Parish Medical Center. He was a native veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp., was an owner of a hardware store, member of the VFW, Eastern Star Lodge #151, Knights Templar, Bethlehem Commandery #20, El Karuba Temple and Palestine Chapter #55 O.E.S. and Association of Senior Friends and Elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Winnfield. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Wood of Winnfield; one son, Steve Wood and his wife, Jayne of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Marilyn McClane of Winnfield and Ann Brock of Bossier City; a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollis Victor Simons and Effie Smith Simons; and two brothers, Lavon and Dalton Simons.
