Burial was in Garden of Memories, Winnfield. Mr. Chandler, age 61 of Winnfield died Sunday, February 3, 2002 in his Winnfield residence. He was a native of Rochelle, LA, lived in Winnfield, LA, was a member of Bethel Church of Christ, worked for the Winnfield Fire Dept. for 43 years, served as Winnfield Fire Chief from 1985 until present, he was Fire Science instructor at LSU Eunice, and was the secretary for the Civil Service Board. He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Chandler and one brother, Jim Bob Chandler. Survivors are his wife, Alanae Bartlett Chandler of Winnfield; two sons, Kevin Dale Chandler and Ryon Keith Chandler, both of Winnfield, LA; one daughter, Heather Alanae Chandler of Winnfield, LA; his father, Dale Chandler of Winnfield; one brother, Archie Chandler of Jonesboro; and one granddaughter, Haley Alanae Chandler of Winnfield. Mr. Pace, age 79 of Olla, LA Friday, February 1st at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Olla, LA, was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member for 50 years, and Past Master of Georgetown Lodge #203 and Charles F. Buck Lodge #260 Past District Deputy Grand Master of the 5th Masonic District. He was a charter member of the Barak Shrine Temple of Monroe and past president of the Winn Shrine Club. DeBusk, Jr. (Junior) William F. DeBusk Jr. died very peacefully in his home January 28, 2002, following a long illness. He was born July 11, 1923 in Pearson, AR but lived most of his life in Louisiana. He served his country in the Pacific Theater in the Army During World War II. After the war, he returned to Louisiana where he worked in many areas of the transportation industry, retiring from Continental Trailways after 34 years of distinguished service. He was a faithful member of the ALF-CIO for many years. He will be remembered as a person you could always count on, a man who loved to laugh and tell a good joke. He loved his family and friends unconditionally. Funeral services were held Friday, February 1, 2002 at 1 p.m. at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating was Rev. Ed Baswell, Msgr. Carson LaCaze and Rev. Dick DeBusk. Interment followed at Forest Park West Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.F. and Minnie DeBusk; sister Lois DeBusk Lovell and two brothers, Billy and Charles DeBusk. He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 58 years Marjorie Lemire DeBusk; three daughters, Teresa Matheny and husband Michael of Shreveport, LA, Martha Stauffacher and husband Richard of Fayetteville, AR, and Cindy McGowan and husband Daly of Shreveport; one son, Bob DeBusk of Shreveport; four grandchildren and one great grandchild who were the light of his life, Kegan and Kellen Matheny, Brian Hope, Adam Whelan, and great granddaughter, Aldon Whitaker Anderson; one brother Louis DeBusk and wife Kay of Dry Prong, LA; one sister, Fern Trawick of Winnfield, LA. Mr. Moseley was a native of Athens, LA and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Winnfield, LA. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, Past Master of Eastern Star Lodge #151 in Winnfield. He was a Shriner, Past High Priest of the Royal Arch #59, Past Immient Commander of Council #43. He was Knights Templer Past Commander of Bethlehem #20, and he was Past Grand Commander of Knights Templer of Louisiana. He was also a U.S. Army Reserves Veteran and retired director of the Huey P. Long Vo-Technical School in Winnfield. Mr. Moseley is preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Murphy Pullig Moseley, his parents, Robert Matthew and Sallie Lewis Moseley; one grandchild, Kevin Moseley; two sisters, Marie Orie Moseley Atkins Walker and Katie Bell Moseley; and two brothers, Dayton Moseley and Robert Davis Moseley. Family will accept visitors Friday evening at the funeral home between 7:00-8:00 p.m.************************ Teal Caldwell Calhoun Services for Teal Caldwell Calhoun were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2002, in the Colfax United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Reid officiating. Interment was in Colfax Cemetery, Colfax under the direction of Kramer of Colfax. Mr. Calhoun, 91 of Colfax, died Thursday, February 21, 2002 in Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was a graduate of Winnfield High School, attended LSU in Baton Rouge where he was an ROTC Commander. Mr. Calhoun was a Commander of CCC Corps in LaSalle Parish prior to World War II. He was Captain in the U. S. Army and a veteran of World War II. He served three years in African and Italian Campaigns where he fought in 19 major battles and was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries received during that time. After World War II he went to work for the Federal Veterans Administration. After retiring he worked for the Louisiana State Veterans Affairs until he again retired in 1994. Mr. Calhoun received a 50 year award from the Masons and was a member of Eastern Star Lodge of Winnfield. He was a member of Colfax United Methodist Church, VFW, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Calhoun was an avid horseman and supporter of the Boy Scouts of America. Teal Calhoun is survived by his wife, Laura Munson Calhoun of Colfax, LA; two daughter, Sally Calhoun Prudhomme of Natchitoches, LA and Catherine Calhoun Sullivan of Bossier City, LA; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. D. Roberts, one son, W.D. Roberts and two daughters, Montez Hutto and Addie Brown. She was born in Calvin, LA, was a member of McDonald Baptist Church and was a retired grocery clerk and homemaker. Survivors are two sons, James "Jimmy" Poisso Jr. and wife Lois of Houston, TX and Bobby Poisso and wife Jana of Winnfield, LA; one daughter, Margaret Jordan and husband Lindy of Winnfield, LA; one brother, J. Mr. McFarland age 70 of Joyce, LA died Sunday, February 24, 2002 in the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. He was a Winnfield native, retired Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was also retired from retail automotive parts sales. He was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rosa McFarland and five brothers and two sisters. Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Emma McFarland of Joyce, LA; four daughters, Rosanne Purser of Winnsboro, LA, Laurene McFarland of Pineville, LA, Lisa Kinney of Bossier City, LA; and Barbie Cannon of Shreveport, LA; step-mother, Esther McFarland Grice of Winnfield; five brothers, Bobby McFarland of Longview, WA, Lester Wheeler of Ft.
