He was born on Tuesday, April 17, 1945, in Sikes, LA. He was a veteran and was employed as a coordinator for Proctor and Gamble. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his father Joseph Egbert Adams and his mother Myra Ola Adams. Funeral services were held at Tullos United Pentecostal Church on Monday, February 2, 2004 at 2 p.m. with Rev. E. R. Johnson and Rev. Jesse Henderson officiating. Interment followed in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery near Sikes under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla, Louisiana. Franks, age 67, of Winnfield died January 27, 2004 at Rapides Regional Medical Center. Services were held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bill Moore officiating. Burial followed in the New Jerusalem Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and from 8 a.m. until time of services on Thursday. Mr. Franks was born in Franklin Parish on September 10, 1936. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willis Perry Franks and Mary Hudson Franks. Willis Franks served 13 years with the Army National Guard and retired from the United States Forestry Service with 37 years of service. He was Supervisor of tree markers. Mrs. McAllister was the daughter of the late Charles Naff and the late Zelma (Naff) Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard B. McAllister; two daughters, Ruth McAllister and Allie McAllister; one son Charles McAllister; two grandchildren, Ray Carroll and Amanda McAllister. Mary Oneida Durham Guin was born in the Hargis community near Montgomery on January 27, 1920 and departed this life on February 9, 2004 in Shreveport. She was a member of Hargis Baptist Church, Order of Eastern Star and was retired from Jordache, Inc. Her life was spent in service to others. She asked for little, yet gave her all, and left a legacy of love and influence that will far out-live her sojourn here. Preceding her in death are her parents Ozro Lee and Ruth McIlwain Durham, her husband Robert Lee Guin, Sr., her son, Robert L. (Bob) Guin, Jr., her brother William E. (Bill) Durham and sister, Marcene Purgerson.
