Mrs. Daniel, age 86 of Winnfield, LA died Sunday, December 29, 2002 at her residence. Mrs. Daniel was retired from the school system where she taught in both public and private schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield, LA where she was a member of the TRI- L Sunday School Class. She was a former secretary of the East Winnfield Baptist Church and was a member of the Winn Parish Homemakers Club. Mrs. Daniel served on the Election Commission of Winn Parish and was a volunteer at the Winn Parish Political Museum in Winnfield. Mrs. Daniel was also a member of the Choctaw Nation and a proud descendent of the Native Americans who traveled the Trail of Tears from Mississippi to Oklahoma. He was the son of the late Robert Chester and Ola V. Varnell Hyde of Winnfield. He is survived by one brother, Newton Hyde of Winnfield, LA; one sister. Essie Guin of Winnfield, LA; two sons, Scott Hyde and Todd Hyde of Manitowac, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Ola Hyde and brothers Dallas and Robert Hyde.************************ Edward Graner Ed was born on January 31. 1929 and went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Marie Graner, brother Walter Jr. and sister Jeanette Graner Stephenson. He is survived by his wife Nora Kelley Graner, daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and Steve Giltner, grandsons Ash Isaac and Noah Edward, sister Helen Keathley, brother and sister- in-law Stan and Ann Graner, and many nieces and nephews. Ed grew up in Dallas and attended Highland Park High School. He has maintained many of his school friendships over the years. He received Bachelors and Masters degree in Business Administration with minors in Industrial Management from the University of Texas at Austin. He also graduated from the SMU graduate school of banking. While at UT he was a member of the KA fraternity and played on many intramural sports teams. Most of his career was in banking, at Preston State Bank, and North Park National Bank, and as a bank examiner for the US Treasury Department in Dallas, Oklahoma and Washington D.C. He retired as a Senior Examiner from the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas. Since childhood he has been a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church and served on the administrative board. In early years he was member of the TNT Class and Contemporary Couples. In recent years he has been part of the Disciple Bible classes and the Wesleyan Fellowship Sunday School class. In 1983 Ed joined the East Dallas Rotary where he served as president and maintained perfect attendance until his illness. He has been a member of Calyx Club since college. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, and as an original bond holder. at Texas Stadium, had season tickets until his illness. Olive Baptist Church, later be joined Greater Neal's Temple Church of God In Christ, where he remained a faithful deacon until his death on December 29, 2002. Deacon Hall was preceded in death by his mother, father, Emeal Hall and mother Fannie L. Weston Hall (Mother Trotter), two older sisters, Ella Mae Hall and Ollie Lee Hall, his first wife, Mattie D. He was principal of Saline High School for 32 years, president of the Bienville Parish Teachers Association, president of North La. Retired Superintendents Association. He served on the Board of Directors of the Bank of Saline. He was a member and Deacon of Magnolia Baptist Church where he taught men's Bible class for 577 [57] years. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #196 Ashland, LA.
