Tony was the son of Barbara Martin Noland of Winnfield, LA, and the grandson of T.W. Martin of Saline, LA. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Eva Martin; paternal grandparents Jess and Gladys Bishop; and two uncles, Dillard Bishop and Johnny Bishop. Tony is survived by his mother and paternal grandfather; two brothers, Michael Bishop and Scott Colley; two sisters Tammy Meli and Vicki Rainey; one aunt, Blanche Evans; one Uncle Jerry Martin; his stepmother Martha Stone; and four nephews, Austin Reed, Aaron Doerfier, Stevie Rainey, and Dakota Colley; and three nieces, Amber Meli, Brianna Meli, and Victoria Rainey. Tony was loved and admired by many, and will be missed, but held in memory always. Mr. Bishop was a member of the Texas Hairdressers and Cosmetology Association of Austin, TX. The whereabouts of Tony’s father, Lee Bishop is unknown at this time.************************ Mary Rebekah Johnson Mary Rebekah Johnson, beloved wife of James William Johnson, went home to be with our Lord on the 5th of July 2004. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hopewell, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late John W. Bear and Florence E. Bear. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James W. Johnson; her daughter, Rebecca Joan Westbrook; her brothers, Berkley B. Bear, John W. Bear, Jr., Wade A. Bear, and Hoseli T. "Bud" Bear; and her sisters, Lennie B. Allen, Louise B. Rovero, and Madeline Bear. She was a homemaker and a member of the Goldonna Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late James Gates and the late Maxine (Blake) Gates. Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by one brother, Mr. Jack Gates. Mrs. Kees, 81, of Georgetown died Friday, July 16, 2004 in St. Francis Medical Center, Monroe. She was a 1940 graduate of Selma High School and a 1962 graduate of Louisiana College. She was an active and longtime member of Georgetown Baptist Church. She retired from the Grant Parish School System after 20 years of service. She was a former member of Delta Kappa Gamma International, a former member of the Georgetown OES Chapter, and the Grant Parish Library Board. Preceded in death by her parents, Arch C. and Bessie Eugenia Wiley Riggs; brothers, William O. Riggs and Gerald A. Riggs; half brothers, Clyde L. Riggs and Thurman Riggs. Mrs. McIlwain was retired from the Webster Parish School Board and was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late William Collins and the late Pinola (Barton) Collins. Brenda departed this earthly life July 14, 2004 at the age of 54 of a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents Doretha Page and her father B.M. Roberson; one brother Freddie McWilliams. An inspiring eulogy was given by Reverend Charles Williams and funeral oration by Reverend Will Jefferson, pastors of Morning Star. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery under the direction of the Winnfield Funeral Home. Brenda Howard graduated from Pinecrest High School in 1968. After completing high school she married the late Leonard Howard Jr., and moved to Detroit Michigan where she worked as a bank teller for a few years. After moving back to Winnfield she completed two years of business training at Huey P. Trade School. She also worked at Walmart for approximately 15 years. She accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Dr. H.Y. Bell where she remained an active member until her death. She leaves to cherish wonderful memories one daughter LaTasha DeAnn Howard, one grandson Javonti (Jay) Thomas; one sister Barbara Jones; one brother in law (Billy) of Winnfield, LA; two brothers Cleotha Amos (Rosalind) of Natchitoches, LA and Jackie Roberson (Sandra) of Winnfield, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, several aunts, uncles, other relatives and numerous of close and dear friends.
