She was born in Yakima, Washington but lived most of her life in Winnfield. Mrs. Ogg was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1965. She was preceeded in death by her father Luther Harkins and her mother Nancy Cockerham Harkins. Mrs. Ogg is survived by one sister: Earlene Barber and her husband Brian of Georgetown, La.; one brother: Lonnie Harkins and his wife Gloria of Dodson, La.; two nephews: Chad Harkins and his wife Wendy of Vidalia, La. and Adam Harkins and his wife Crystal of Monroe, La.; one grand niece, Raylyn Harkins. Austin, 58, of Oxford, Alabama died Wednesday, June 22, 2005. The Louisiana native had lived in Alabama for 12 years. He was a Commercial Insulator. Survivors are his wife Donnell Wasdin Austin of Oxford, Alabama; three daughters, Mary Ann Ponville of Screven, Georgia, Wanda Clark of Anniston, Alabama, Gwen Sharpe of Surrency, Georgia; one son, Dennis Lee of Mauriceville, Texas; four sisters Shirley Dark and husband Paul of Bastrop, LA, Sally Harvey of Ruston, La, Brenda Pardue and husband Howard of Winnfield, La, Betty Davis and husband Richard of Denver, CO; two brothers, Felix Austin of Winnfield, La, Homer Austin and wife Dorothy of Jonesboro, La; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church of Sikes, La. She was the daughter of the late George Henderson and the late Annie (Eubanks) Henderson. Mrs. Temple was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Willie Howard Temple; her brother, Lamar Henderson; and two sisters, Nellie DelRio and Helen Thomas. Mr. Kees, 91, of Georgetown, died Friday July 1, 2005 at Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield. He was a graduate of Pioneer High School and a graduate of the Higgins Boat Landing Craft School in New Orleans. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Coast Guard where he served as Motor Machinist First Class. He was a former member of the Civilian Conservation Corp and a present member of the Georgetown Masonic Lodge #298 F&AM. He also served on the board of Directors of the Red Hill Water System in Georgetown. Mr. Kees was a member of the Georgetown Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He worked for numerous oil field companies and upon his retirement, was the owner and operator of Kees Contracting Service. He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Riggs Kees; parents, Isham and Lizzie Mae Kikland Kees; and a sister Joyce Addy. Survivors include a son, O'Neal K "Kirk" Kees, Jr. and wife, Molly, of Denham Springs; daughters, Loleta Kees May of Grayson, Sandra Kees Smith and husband, James H. of Winnfield, and Sue Ellen Kees Tant and Husband Don, of Georgetown; brother, Richard L. Mrs. Alford's funeral was held at Edmonds Funeral Home in Jonesboro on Tuesday, July 6 at 2 p.m. in the Edmonds Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Brian Seminole and Rev. Nathan Luellen officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories in Jonesboro. Mrs. Alford had worked as a machine operator in the bag plant in the Hodge paper mill. Reverends Nicholas Verrett and Robert Leach officiated. Interment followed in the cypress Creek Cemetery under the supervision of Southern funeral Home in Winnfield. Lil passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe after a lengthy illness. She was born in Newton, MS, on October 28, 1925. Lil had a life-long passion for cooking, gardening, and quilting. She also loved traveling and had lived in more than half the United States and in England. Her sense of humor, compassion, and good advice will be missed by everyone blessed enough to have known her. She was preceded in death by Olan L. Jones, her husband of 58 years. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Lamar Jones, her parents C. D. and Eva Lorene Scoggin, and two brothers, Edward and Thomas Scoggin. Survivors include three sons: Danny L. Jones and his wife Sarah of West Monroe, Larry L. Jones and his wife Patsy of Monroe, and Terry L Jones, PhD., and his wife Carol of West Monroe. Lil was lovingly known as "Granny" to her eight grandchildren: David Jones and his wife Sherry, Mason Jones, Clay Chandler,D.D.S. and his wife Emily, Sarah Chandler, Ben Jones, Mary Jones, Laura Jones and Arnie Jones. She had two great grandchildren Ryan and Austin Jones. Lil is also survived by two sisters, Mildred Laird and her husband James H. of Shreveport and Janice Gresselt of Newton, MS. Mrs. Cure was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband Mr. Albert E. Cure; One Daughter: Maxine Leek of Tallahassee, Florida; Two Granddaughters: Victoria Singer of Albuquerque ,New Mexico and Deborah DeSterre of Tallahassee, Florida; Two Sisters: Mary Feazell of Winnfield and Marie Tarver of Columbia; and Four Great Grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late James Wilkerson and the late Alaphair (Taylor) Wilkerson. Mrs. Feger was also preceded in death by her husband, George Feger; her brother, Harlan Wilkerson; and her sister, Myrt Huckaby Gaar. She is also survived by her two daughters, Sandra M. DeBusk and husband Harry of Dry Prong, La., Rita M. Reeves Mr. Terry Ray Reeves, age 59 of Winnfield, passed away Friday, July 22, 2005. Mr. Reeves, Winn Parish District Attorney since 1991, was a native of Winnfield. He was a graduate of Winnfield High School in 1964 and was admitted to the Louisiana Bar Association in 1982. He received degrees from Southern University School of Law in Baton Rouge, La. and Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La. Mr. Reeves was a member of: the American, Louisiana, and Winn Parish Bar Associations. American and Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association, Louisiana and National District Attorney's Association, Louisiana Parish Attorney's Association, Louisiana School Board Attorney's Association, American Judicature Society, Louisiana Commission on Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement, Advisory Board of Louisiana Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, and the Advisory Board of Drug Free Schools and Communities. Mr. Reeves founded the Winn Parish Drug Task Force and was founder/former chairman of the Winn Parish Council on Aging. Mr. Reeves was also a former president and Member of the Central Louisiana Juvenile Detention Facility Authority. He was former chairman of the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission and was a coAuthor of the 1974 Louisiana Constitution. Mr. Reeves was a 32nd degree mason and member of Eastern Star Lodge #151 F&AM in Winnfield. He was president of the High Twelve Club, the Winn Parish Board of Election Supervisors and was a member of Laurel Heights Baptist Church in Winnfield. Mr. Reeves was also a U.S. Air Force veteran. Mr. Reeves is survived by: one son: Jessie Ray Reeves of Winnfield, La.; one daughter Deanna R. Sutton of Louisville, Kentucky; his mother Lois R.
