Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2002 at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield, LA. Rev. Elton Gunter officiated and burial was in the Cypress Creek Cemetery in Winn Parish, LA. Mrs. Boyett was born in Winn Parish, LA in 1921 and was the third of three daughters born to Jim and Alma Jones. She married Harice W. Boyett in 1938 and they were parents of two daughters. The Boyett family moved to Texas in 1947 and were longtime residents of Texas City. She was an employee of Danforth Memorial Hospital for many years. She and her husband returned to Louisiana upon his retirement from Marathon Oil. After his death in 1989, she moved to Carthage, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors are two daughters, Shirley Witt and husband Don of San Augustine, TX and Sharron Wilder and husband Jerry of Burleson, TX; three granddaughters, Julie Dillon of Webster, TX, Terri Richey and husband Mike of Burleson, TX, and Stacey Henry and husband Ben of Arlington, TX; five great granddaughters, Hayleigh, Shelby, Emily, Leanna and Annalise; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lloyd Whitman officiating. Burial was in Big Creek Cemetery at Pollock, LA. Mr. Futrell, age 92 of Dry Prong, LA died Friday, May 31, 2002 in the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. He was born in Pollock, LA, was a retired carpenter and a member of Big Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son, LeRoy Futrell. Survivors are his wife, Mildred M. Futrell of Dry Prong, LA; three sons, Vernon Futrell and Ronnie Futrell, both of Dry Prong, and Glyn Futrell of Elmer, LA; one daughter, Mary Ann Smith of Ball, LA; one brother, E.W. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jewel Jordan and his parents, Joel and Alpha Jordan, two brothers, Edward and Loyce, and two sisters, Myrtice Shirley and Myrtle James. He is survived by his wife, Rolene H. Mrs. Kyson was a homemaker and a member of the Zion Baptist Church where she was very active and also, the oldest member of the Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include 2 sons: Doyle Kyson and his wife Helga of Winnfield, Bobby Kyson and his wife Faye of Sulphur, 1 daughter: Bonnie Lewis of Georgetown, 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
