She was a member of East Winnfield Baptist Church. Mrs. Badgley enjoyed gardening and flowers as well as cooking. She was the daughter of the late James Warren and the late Katie (Sullivan) Warren. Mrs. Badgley was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman Badgley; four brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her Two Daughters, Beverly Gorham and husband Donald of Winnfield, La. Interment will be at Ramah Cemetery in Ashland, La. ===== Marilyn Shivers Carter (July 20, 1941 - August 17, 2005) Marilyn Shivers Carter, 64, passed away on August 17, 2005 in Corpus Christi, Texas after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 20, 1941 to Wick and Zella Shivers and raised in Winnfield, Louisiana. She married her husband of 44 years on August 25, 1961. Marilyn was a loving and devoted wife. She graduated from Winnfield High School in Winnfield, Louisiana. She will always be remembered for her love of laughter and devotion to her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Lee Edwin Carter of Corpus Christi, Texas; sons, Kyle Carter and wife, Carla of Edmond, Oklahoma and Paul Carter and wife Julie of Paul’s Valley, Oklahoma; daughter, Kay Carter Townsend and husband, Dr. Mike Townsend of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister, Marie Simmons and brother-in-law, Ron Simmons of Tyler, Texas; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Keegan Carter, Ryan and Braeden Carter, Mikayla and Logan Townsend.
