Marlene Anderson, 70, died Monday, June 21, 2004 in Dallas, TX after a
lenghty illness. She was a native of Montgomery, and she lived the majority
of her adulthood in the Sulphur, La. area. She was a loving and dedicated
mother, mother-in-law and grandmother,and she will be deeply missed by all.
She was retired from Hercules, Inc. in Sulphur. Her church membership
resides at First Methodist Church of Montgomery, La. She is survived by her
husband of 32 years, L.C. Anderson; her children and their spouses, Dewanna
Crouch and husband Randy, Walt Dodson and wife Debbie, and John Dodson and
wife Sharron; one sister, Mary Pickrel; seven grandchildren, Lauren and
husband Phil, Jared, Clint, Nathan, Ryan, Staci and Dana; three nephews; one
niece; and many other family members and close friends. She was preceded in
death by her sister Mattie Jean Jowers. Visitation is 6-9 PM Wednesday, June
23, 2004 at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield, La. Here funeral will be
held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 24, 2004 at the First Methodist Church of
Montgomery, La. with Rev. Helene Walker officiating. Interment will be in
Mt. Zion Cemetery near Montgomery, La.

Archie Carpenter, age 88, of Goldonna, La., died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at
Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, La. Mr. Carpenter was employed by
Crown Zellerbach and was a member of Antioch Community Church. He was an
avid fiddle player and played in a variety of gospel and country bands. He
was the son of the late Dewitt Carpenter and the late Mollie Hodge
Carpenter. He is survived by his wife Bonnie (Martin) Carpenter of Goldonna
LA. Two Daughters, Sharon C Triplett of Jonesboro, La. June C Morgan and
husband David of Goldonna, La. One Sister, Jewell Andrews of Goldonna, La.
One Grandson: Trey Morgan One Step Granddaughter: Callie Triplett Mr.
Carpenter was preceded in death by: One Daughter Donna Sue Carpenter Two
Brothers: D.C. Carpenter and Jimmy Rex Carpenter Three Sisters: Lucille
Matthews, Johnnie Toms, and Florine Bedgood Friends may visit in the

Mr. William (Bill) Luther Dick Jr., age 79 of Gaars Mill Louisiana, passed
away Friday, June 25, 2004 at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield.
Mr. Dick was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church and the International
Union of Operating Engineers. He was a past master of Eastern Star Lodge
#151 F&AM in Winnfield, a member of Palestine Chapter #55 Order of the
Eastern Star and the Scottish Rite Bodies of Monroe. Mr. Dick is survived
by: Two sons: James Robert Dick of Texas City Texas, and David Michael Dick
of Dodson, LA.; One Daughter: Belinda Ann Butler of League City, Texas. Two
Grandsons: Michael Darnell Dick and Brian Alan Butler Two Granddaughters:
Lanette Harris and her husband Scott, and Kimberley Butler One Great-
Grandson: Coby William Dick Four Brothers: Charles Dick, Carl Dick, Harold

Isa Dubois, age 84, of Montgomery, La., passed away Thursday, June 17, 2004
at Christus St. Frances-Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La. She was the
daughter of the late Willie Dubois and Mary (Antee) Dubois. She is survived
by her nephew Hank Dubois of Montgomery, La., family members, and a host of
friends that she loved very much. The family received friends at the funeral
home on Friday, June 18, 2004 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Graveside services
were held at French Cemetery in Verda, La. on Saturday, June 19, 2004 at
10:00 AM with Rev. Brad Webb Officiating.

at Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston.
Mr. Durbin was a carpenter and a WWII veteran.
He is survived by two sons: Gary Durbin of Jackson TN and Larry Durbin
of Hollister MO; one sister: Lessie Martin of Goldonna and a former wife
Ruth Durbin of Winnfield; 5 Grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by: two brothers and a sister.
