Mrs. Sledge was a protestant and a long time resident of Metairie, La. She owned and operated the Rue Royal Beauty Shop in New Orleans, La. for many years. She was the daughter of the late B. E. Melton and the late Voila (Howell) Melton. Mrs. Sledge was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Jack Sledge; two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her Two Sons, H. "Shotsy" Roberts (November 17, 1945 - November 8, 2005) Charles Wayne "Shotsy" Roberts age 59 of Natchitoches, passed away, Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at the Veterans Affairs Nursing Home in Alexandria, Louisiana. Mr. Roberts was a Baptist and a U. S. Army Veteran of Vietnam. He is the son of the late George Nathan Roberts Sr. and Johnnie Faye Brumley Roberts. Survivors include: One son: Charles Wayne Roberts Jr. and a daughter Shani Roberts; two brothers: Ralph Roberts of Natchitoches and Sherman Roberts of Nashville, Tennessee; one sister: Carolyn Shaw of Mt. Olive Mississippi. Mr. Robers was preceded in death by: one brother: George Nathan Roberts Jr., two sisters: Jerri Weaver and Pat Rodgers. Mrs. Bumbalough was a loving daughter, sister,wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Rozelle. She was a member of Cypress Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Chandler was a wonderful nurse and cook. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother who always provided a shoulder to lean on. She was the daughter of the late Carl Waters. Mrs. Chandler was also preceded in death by her grandfather, Charlie Tatum; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Wendell and Callie Chandler. She is survived by Her Mother, Marie Waters of Tullos, La. He was an avid outdoorsman and a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Barton was preceded in death by his parents Wilmer and Mellie Taylor Barton; his step mother Evalee Barton, and two brothers Gerald Barton and Ray Taylor. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Winnfield, where she also participated in the Sanctuary Choir, WMU, Keenagers and treasurer of the Joyful Workers Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Home Demostration Club. Mrs. Turner was the daughter of the late James Hardy Barr and Fannie (Jones) Barr. She was also preceded in death by her husband of over fifty years, Don Turner; two brothers, Truett and James Woodard Barr; and sister, Iris B. Curry. She is survived by her Sister, Emily B. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Calvin. Mr. Bonnette was a retired Logger and Painting Contractor. He was the son of the late Lee Bonnette and the late Estelle (Lambert) Bonnette.
