A native of Winn Parish, Mr. Durham was a retired mail carrier, a member of the Atlanta Baptist Church, a veteran of World War I, and a Mason. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Atlanta Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Teal officiating, assisted by Dr. Bernes Selph of Denton, Arkansas. Survivors include five brothers, Joe Durham of Dallas, Texas, Nathan Durham and Flem Durham, both of Natchitoches, Crosby Durham of El Dorado, Ark., and Clarence Durham of Winnfield; four sisters, Mrs. Carrie Ballard of Coushatta, Mrs. Anna Shofner of Natchitoches, Mrs. Laura Selph of Cotton Valley, Mrs. Odell Kolb of Atlanta, and one grandson. Masonic graveside rites were held by Montgomery Lodge No. 168. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased, including Aubrey Ballard, F. M. Durham, Lindsey Durham, Billy James Durham, Joe Durham, Walter Durham, Charlie Kolb, and Michael Brown.
