J. Dalby, 75, Former Resident, Buried Here Today Thomas J. Dalby, 75, former Winnfield merchant and City Alderman, died Tuesday, September 8 at his residence in West Monroe. Funeral services were held September 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Southern Funeral Home chapel in Winnfield, with Rev. W. Robert Gate, pastor of Winnfield Presbyterian Church, and Rev. E. E. Taylor of West Monroe, officiating. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mr. Dalby was born September 29, 1883 in Tennessee. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lula Dalby of West Monroe; two sons, John C. Dalby of Old Hickory, Tenn., E. D. Dalby of Abilene, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. C. J. Greenlee of West Monroe; one brother, Howard Dalby of Quilin, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Fanny Bliss of Fort Worth, Texas, and Mrs. Bessie Holland of Norman, Okla.
