Former Resident of Winn Parish Dies In Oak Grove, LA.

Oak Grove, La., Dec. 30- Funeral services for J. L. (Daddy) Dark, age 73, who
died here Christmas morning at six o'clock, were conducted that afternoon in
the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Reneau, Jr., the latter being his daughter. 
Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Dark had been confined for more than a year because of ill health.

He had been a resident of West Carroll Parish for 24 years, moving with his
family in 1908 from Winn Parish.

He is survived by his wife, five daughters, Mrs. W. H. Reneau, Jr., Oak Grove,
Mrs. Floyd Lawton of Monroe, Mrs. M. B. Cohan and Miss Florence Dark of New
Orleans, and Mrs. J. A. Taro of Honolulu, Haw.; one son, W. D. Dark of Monroe,
and two sisters and two brothers.
