Prior to going to Texas to reside, she had spent most of her lifetime in Winn Parish. Mrs. Dark was the widow of the late Clarence Dark of Winn Parish and the sister-in-law of Mrs. R. A. Clewis, and the aunt of Mrs. Sam Brian, Sr., both of Winnfield. Funeral services will be held at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Winnfield, at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 1970, with the Rev. Anthony Webster of Cleveland, Texas, officiating. Burial will be in the Winnfield Cemetery. Surviving are four sons, Charles Dark, Cleveland, Texas; Gene Claire Dark, Evergreen, Alabama; Don Dark, Natchitoches; and Harry Dark, Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. J. V. Scott, Shreveport. Among other survivors are two nieces, Mrs. Dorothy Gibson, Montgomery, La., and Mrs. Louise Warner, Columbia, La.; and a nephew, Jack Sowers, of Austin, Texas.
