Dark Kara A. Dark, 78, of Shreveport, died Sunday, August 20, 1978, in the Pierremont Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Shreveport. Mrs. Dark was the sister of the late C. H. "Charlie" Crain, Winn Parish Registrar of Voters, a Winn Parish native, and former Winn Parish resident. Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro with the Rev. James W. Taylor of Shreveport officiating. Burial was in the Harmony Grove Cemetery in Winn Parish. Survivors are two sons, John M. Dark of Bossier City and W. V. Dark of Shreveport; two daughters, Melba Durham of Bossier City and Geraldine Garberg of Bettendorf, Iowa; two sisters, Blanche Infoug and Mrs. Russ Tyler, both of Shreveport; three brothers, John M. Crain of Shreveport, Basham Crain of Atlanta, Ga., and James I. Crain of Blanchard; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
