T. Dark At Harmony Grove P. Troupe Dark, 81, of 1911 Highland, Shreveport, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday in Gowan Geriatorium after a lengthy illness. A retired farmer, he was the father of Shreveport banker Bill Dark and Mrs. J. Murray Durham of Bossier City. A native of Winn Parish, he was a farmer until moving to Shreveport about 18 years ago. He was a member of the Highland Baptist Church and the Midway Masonic Lodge of Jackson Parish. During recent years he was employed by Commercial National Bank Building Co. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro with Rev. James W. Taylor, pastor of the Highland Baptist Church, and the Rev. John G. Alley, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro, officiating. Burial was in Harmony Grove Cemetery at Gaars Mill community. Other survivors are his widow; one other son, S/M Sgt. John M. Dark of Taiwan; one other daughter, Mrs. Philip B. Garberg of Park Forest, Ill.; one brother, Howard Dark of Jonesboro; a sister, Mrs. Louella Branch, Winnfield; seven grandchildren and a number of other realtives.
