Davidson, Former Winnfield Barber, Succumbs W. A. Davidson, 69, died of a heart attack in a hospital in Ozark, Ark., Nov. 22. Funeral services were conducted at the Walnut Creek Baptist Church near Simsboro, La., Nov. 24, with the Rev. Mr. Quarles of Jonesboro officiating. Burial was in the Walnut Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were Charlie Ray, Alva Owens, Linton Jones, J. E. Coyle, Edward Davidson, and Kenneth Davidson. Mr. Davidson owned and operate a barber shop in Winnfield for 20 years prior to going to Oklahoma, where he had been for the past 15 years, until three months ago when he went to Arkansas. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Esther Plunkett of Winnfield; one son, John Allen Davidson of Miles, Texas; his wife, Mrs. Llyda Stanley Davidson of Arkansas; four sisters, Mrs. Ernest Jones, Minden, Mrs. Alva Owens, Shreveport, Mrs. G. A. Hall, Coushatta, and Mrs. Sam May, Ruston; two brothers, Albert of Shreveport, and Dallas of St. Helenes, Oregon; and three granddaughters.
