Devon Davis, 81, Succumbs; Rites Held Friday

Devon Davis, 81, a retired woods worker, died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, October
27, 1966 in a Winnfield hospital after a long illness.

He was a native of Camden, Ark., and was a member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in Atlanta Methodist Church with
Rev. W. Ackins officiating.  Burial was in Atlanta Cemetery under direction of
Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Davis is survived by his wife; two sons, Tommy Davis and Bill Davis, both of
Atlanta; and four grandchildren.
