Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Montgomery with Masonic Graveside rites. Davies, 59, died at 2:15 a.m., Monday, January 9, 1984 in Humana Hospital, Winn Parish. He was born December 28, 1924 at El Dorado, Arkansas. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Marine Corps. He was a member of First Methodist Church, Winnfield, and Eastern Star Masonic Lodge No. 151 F. & A. M., Winnfield, and a retired oilfield driller and millwright. Survivors include three sons, Jack Davies, of New Orleans, Leslie Ray Davies, Jr., of Anchorage, Alaska, and Greggory E. Davies, Winnfield, and six grandchildren.
