Death of Leona Davis. Leona Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.O. Davis, died Friday, February 22, at her home near Dodson. Leona was 11 years old and in the sixth grade. Her teacher, Miss. Shively, and her many friends and classmates of the Dodson School are grieved by her absence. For several weeks she was confined to her bed where loving hands did all God would grant them do. Leona was a sweet child and was loved by everyone who knew her. Her loved ones are at ease knowing she is an Angel in Heaven and will meet her there by and by. Funeral services were held at New Hope Church, February 23, by the Rev. A.V. Cullen, Pastor of the First Baptist church of Winnfield. She was put to rest in the New Hope Cemetery. The deceased is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F.O. Davis, two brothers: Travis and Conrad Davis, and five sisters: Florence Mildred and Mrs Loyd Smith, of Dodson; Mrs. Charlie Tullos of Tullos and Mrs. Avis Mobley of Hodge. Submitted by E. Dale Smith
