Grandmother Of Local Residents Dies

Rose Anna Davis, 102, of Philadelphia, Mississippi, died February 28, 1972 at
the home of her daughter, Mrs. Amanda Burrage, with whom she had made her home
for 27 years.

She was a member of the Methodist Church and a native of Mississippi.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 4, in DeKalb, Miss., with Rev. Amos
Moore officiating.

She is survived by seven daughters, three sons, 49 grandchildren, 103 great
grandchildren, 55 great-great grandchildren, and six great-great-great 
grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  She was the grandmother of
Mineola Batts of Campti, the great grandmother of Mattie Alexander of 
Winnfield, and the great-great grandmother of Jackie Farley, also of 
Winnfield.
