Funeral Services for Robert Davis Held at Ruston

Robert W. Davis, aged 69, died suddenly at his home at Ruston Tuesday morning.
He was one of the best known business men in North Louisiana.  He came to
Louisiana about twenty-five years ago from Arkansas, where he was born.

The deceased is survived by his widow, formerly Miss Lottie Long, sister of
Senator Huey P. Long; two daughters, Mrs. Felton Green and Miss Charlotte
Davis, Ruston; two brothers, V. M. and John Davis, of Ruston.

Mr. Davis was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church, a Mason, and widely
known for his contributions to charity.

The funeral was held at Ruston Wednesday morning with interment in the
Ruston Cemetery.
