R. W. Davis of Ruston, Prominent Lumberman, Dies

R. W. Davis, prominent lumberman of Ruston, died at his home in Ruston Monday
night, July 23, according to a news report Tuesday.  Mr. Davis was the husband
of Lottie Long Davis, former resident of Winnfield, and was well known over
the state.

Senator Huey P. Long of New Orleans passed through Winnfield Wednesday enroute
to attend the funeral service of Mr. Davis, who was his brother-in-law.
