The remains were brought to Winnfield Monday afternoon where funeral services were conducted at the First Baptist Church with the pastor Rev. H. H. McBride in charge. He was assisted by Rev. J. A. Cockerham. Interment was made in the Winnfield Cemetery. A native of Winn Parish, near Georgetown, Mr. Dawson had made his home in Texas for the past several years. Surviving are three sons and two daughters, Mrs. Ophelia Hill, Mrs. Inez _____, Pleas, Harrell, and Olan Dawson, all of Overson, Texas. He also leaves three brothers, John of Monroe, Bob of Winnfield, and Henry R. Dawson of Corinth; and three sisters, Mrs. Emma Oswald, Center, Texas; Mrs. Matt Barlow, Texas; and Mrs. Maude Wheat, Pollock.
