J. Mike Dawson Succumbs; Rites Held May 10

John Mike Dawson, 71, of Winnfield, died at 3 p.m. Friday, May 8, 1970 at his
residence, of an apparent heart attack.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Nettie H. Dawson of Winnfield; one son, Bethel
Dawson of Iota; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Harper of West Monroe, Mrs.
Alberta Hook of Alma, Ark., and Miss Nedral Dawson of Winnfield; one half-
brother; two half-sisters, eight grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Jordan Hill United
Pentecostal Church with Rev. Otis Davidson and Rev. Durwood Halmark 
officiating.  Burial was in Corinth Tabernacle Cemetery under direction of
Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
