Last Rites Held For Mrs. M. S. Dawson At Corinth Dec. 26

Mrs. Missouri Smith Dawson, 88, of Route 1, West Monroe, died about 2:30 a.m.
Monday at her home after a long illness.  She was a resident of Winn Parish
most of her life.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Corinth Baptist Church near
Winnfield with the Rev. W. C. Bounds officiating.

Burial was in Corinth Cemetery.

Survivors include four sons, J. D. Dawson, Baton Rouge; M. H. Dawson, Calvin;
Joe R. Dawson, Winnfield; Mike Dawson, Gilbert; two daughters, Mrs. Edith
Whatley and Mrs. Etoil Erskine, both of West Monroe; a brother, J. R. Smith,
Winnfield; nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
