Winnfield News-American (May 30, 1941)
S. J. T. Day, a former resident of Winnfield, died May 15 in a New Orleans 
hospital and funeral services were held in Stephens, Ark., the following 
Saturday.

Mr. Day, while a resident of Winnfield was employed as manager of the Winnfield 
Stave Company.  For the past few years he with his family have made their home 
at Sibley.

Surviving are his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Eudolph Mosley, Guthrie, Okla., 
Mrs. Darden Talley, New Orleans, one son, Sam T. Day, Lomita, Calif., two 
sisters, Mrs. J. E. Morgan, Stephens, Ark., and Mrs. Lena Hyde, White River, S. 
D., and two brothers, Tom Day of Jasper, Texas and Jim Day of Ruston.
