Dickerson Succumbs Here Sunday Night Last Rites Were Held Tuesday; Burial in Local Cemetery Funeral services for W. F. Dickerson, 60, who died at his home here Sunday night at 8:45, following a stroke of paralysis the previous Tuesday, were held at the home Tuesday morning with the Rev. Alwin Stokes, assisted by Rev. G. A. Morgan, officiating. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were W. T. Brian, D. A. Forrest, Jack Flournoy, Joe Gassiott, L. Rickerson, Harper Terrell, W. E. LaCroix, and J. W. Perdue. Mr. Dickerson was born near Winnfield August 9, 1878. He lived his entire life in this community and was married to Miss Anna Belle Colvin, a native of Lincoln Parish. He had been suffering from high blood pressure and heart trouble a number of years, which had become acute the past few months. Mr. Dickerson is survived by his wife and one daughter, Myrtle, of Winnfield; four sisters, Mrs. B. W. Bailey and Mrs. Robert Hall of Winnfield; Mrs. Molly Wyatt of St. Maurice and Mrs. H. L. Brian of Shreveport; and one brother, Monroe Dickerson of Lufkin, Texas. Among the out of town relatives attending the last rites here were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Colvin, Homer; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Colvin, Mrs. Sally Colvin, Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Colvin, and Mr. Dunbar, of Alexandria; Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Colvin of Ruston, Mr. and Mrs. George Reynolds of Shreveport; Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Brian, Miss Clara Brian and Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Brian of Shreveport; Mrs. Mollie Wyatt and Mr. and Mrs. Glynn Wyatt and son of St. Maurice; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hall, Baton Rouge; Mr. M. Jennings of Montgomery; Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Dickerson of Jonesboro.
