All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: April 4, 1957 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Ab Dean, Former Winn Resident, Dies In Many Ab Dean, age 69, died in the Frazier Hospital in Many, La., March 29 about 5 p.m. following a long illness. Mr. Dean was a native of Winn Parish and moved to Many in 1954 where he lived until the time of his death. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 31, at the Pentecostal Church in Many at 2 p.m. Rev. Johnson, pastor, of Many church, and Rev. Fox, pastor of Zwolle Pentecostal Church officiated. Interment was in Zwolle Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Vill Allen Dean; four daughters, Mrs. Cleo Curtis and Mrs. Mary Bell Davis of Many, Mrs. Edward Bundrick, Winnfield, and Mrs. Mack McCullum of Shreveport; three sons, Julius Dean of Billings, Mont., Thomas Dean of Natchez, Miss., and Bill Dean of Arizona; his mother, Mrs. Annie Dean of Winnfield; five sisters, Ebb Machen and Mrs. L. B. Straughn, Sr., of Winnfield; Mrs. Festus Brewton and Mrs. George Cunningham of Goldonna, and Mrs. V. O. Barnes of Texas; three brothers, Charlie and Ozie of Winnfield and Jack of Baton Rouge. There are also several grandchildren. Among those attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ebb Machen, Mrs. L. B. Straughn, Troy Smith, Mrs. J. L. Waters, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Williams, and Ira Keyes, all from Winnfield. Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Cunningham, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bonnette of Goldonna, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Wilkinson and son of Calvin.
