Last Rites Held For A. T. Dean at Zion Hill June 5

Funeral services for Andrew Thomas Dean, 88 year old Winnfield resident who
died in a local nursing home at 7:50 p.m. June 3, 1965, were held at 2 p.m.
Saturday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel.

Rev. C. C. Martin and Rev. Kenneth Wall officiated at the last rites. Burial
was in the Zion Hill Cemetery.

Acting as pallbearers were Clyde Smith, Jr., Ray James, Bobby Joe King, Denver
Fox, R. D. Skains, Jr., and Jessie Dale Brewer.

The deceased was a lifelong resident of Winn Parish and a member of the Laurel
Heights Baptist Church.  He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his widow and seven stepchildren, three of whom are Mrs.
Gladys King, Mrs. Bessie Cox, and Mrs. Chuck Skains of Winnfield; a number
of grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
